last week i bought a pair of reef flip flops, i'm going to the park for five days, will my feet hurt if i wear them the whole time will my feet hurt or should i bring sneakers also?

i was going to pack my sneakers, just in case, but should i bring them to the park in my bag?

I always wear flip flops to Disney. I wear flip flops the majority of my life!!! ;) I would make sure you wear them often before your trip to make sure they are comfy for you though! Have a great trip.

I love flip flops, however I did get a blister from one of mine on our last April trip. Because it was a tong and all my other shoes wear tongs, I was in trouble.

So, I borrowed a pair of Nike sandals from my son.

My recommendation is to bring a few different types of shoes. One tong, one sandal and maybe a sneaker. I don't wear sneakers at WDW because of the weight, look and sweating my feet do in them. I prefer a good pedicure and a good pair of sandals.

Wear whatever you are wearing to WDW in. Even though your shoes are cool at the mall walk, they may not make a 5 mile walk through WDW.

Have fun.

Most people walk something like 5-10 miles a day at WDW. Do you want to do that in flip flops?

Flops are practically all I wear in the parks.

This past trip, I wore a pair I got at target on clearance for a quarter! Thank goodness I bought a bunch of them because after my expensive tennis shoes, my crocs and other sandals had worn blisters, these were the most comfy shoes I had!

If you like 'em, wear em!:)

I am always so afraid of flip-flops,someone running over your feet, running out of them, scraping your skin, etc. I always wear good walking shoes and at night change to a nice pair of nubuck sandals. I banned my daughter from wearing cheap flip flops but did allow her to wear adidas style water sandals at night-gives the feet a chance to breathe, and are sturdier then regular flip-flops.....

Umm... I usually love wearing my reef flip flops, but in the heat of the summer sun, they can really heat up. At least the ones that are rubbery. I usually just wear sneakers with ankle socks.

well i have always worn sneakers in the parks but my feet got sweaty and the socks got really uncomfortable, so this year i'm going to try them, also whenever i went on kali river rapids in AK my sneakers got slippery on the bottom and i kept on sliding.

Well my arches are kind of high so I have trouble at the parks. Some trips are worse than others. I found though that my best foot trip had been when I alternated days between flip flops one day and sneakers the next. I would take your sneakers in case you decide to wear them! I take several pair of flip flops and a pair of good sneakers to Disney!

Unless you really do a lot of walking in flip flops regularly, I think you would be much happier in sneakers.

I wear gym shoes in two circumstances: when I run on my treadmill most mornings, and when I go to wDW. I hate them in "normal" life, but sandals or flip flops (which I basically live in from April through October in Chicago) are just not going to cut it when you're doing heavy duty park touring. I make my kids wear their gym shoes at the parks, too, and none of us got blisters or even had sore feet after 9 days in the parks in July.

All my daughter and I wear in the parks are flip flops.......but then again, that's all we wear the entire summer!!

My last trip to Disney I wore flip flops the whole time I was there. It was great. Especially when it rained. I hated having wet socks in the rain.

My family has been taking nightly walks in our flip flops to get ready for the parks. I have asked my 11 year old if he can put in 6-10 miles a day in his flip flops. His reply is, "it's not like we're walking it straight through. We stop and go on rides and eat". Leave it to the children to set me straight. I say go for what feels comfortable!!!!!!

I wear my sneakers to the parks but bring my flip flops in my back pack. That way I can wear my flip flops in the hot afternoon to give my feet a break and then back to the sneakers for the late afternoon/evening.

I wear flip flops every day of my life!
I love Reefs. I still would walk in them for a few days before spending many hours ina park with them if you aren't used to them.

I just bought my husband the Reef's that have the bottle opener built into the sole for his birthday. I think they are the most expensive flip flops I have ever bought!

My biggest regret during our trip was wearing flip flops! Normally I live in them all summer, so I didn't give it a second thought - but I was miserable by the end of the first day and suffered the rest of the trip as I had no other shoes. Please, please, please - wear a good pair of walking shoes at the parks and save the flip flops for DTD and other short-walking places!

I agree. I've had trouble with Crocs, not to mention flip flops. Tennis shoes are the only shoes I'm comfortable in at WDW. Birkenstocks are okay, too, but they're not perfect either.
