Flip flops other than Teva that won't break bank

okay, just a short update, now that i'm back from wdw...my teva mush (original) FAILED! my feet hurt SO bad, I wanted to cry, and I've got a GIGANTIC blister on my right foot, it covers almost the entire foot pad. I couldn't even see it until the last day of our trip, so I walked around on it for 2 days. thank goodness I always carry moleskin!

I've never had problems wearing my teva mush in wdw before, I could wear them for days with no issues. perhaps they're just worn out, IDK.

Oh no, I'm sorry! That's awful! And they were original ones too! I ordered two pair of Reef flip flops and am waiting to see a sale on the Yellow Box ones.

Oh I soooo agree. I am a flip flop diva, who wears flip flops pretty much year around, but also have plantar fasciitis, so have to be careful which flips I wear. Nothing works better for me than my beloved OluKai Ohanas (not fond of the other OluKai's though). I take at least one pair of my beloved OluKai Ohana's every trip and usually wind up in them for the whole trip. Nothing else even comes close for comfort. For people with foot, back, knee problems, etc. Flip flops are the worst shoes to wear, unless you wear OluKai's or Chaco's. Expensive, but worth it to eliminate any pain!

Just wanted to let anyone who is looking for orthaheels that QVC has them on easy pay. Not a big discount but at least you do not have to fork over the whole amount at once. I figured if they do not fit at least I can retrn them knowing I did not get charged the whole amount at once.

We just got back Sunday and my Teva Mush failed me as well!!! I have been wearing them trouble free for 8 years (so has DD) I found these on sale last year with an older print of Palm Trees so I think they are originals. When I visited First Aid for bandaids (which immediately stopped the pain) the lady said flip flops are the worst for the rubbing when it was wet and was it ever wet! A guy behind me had the same issue.

I bought a pair of yellow box flip flops from zulilly at the end of may. I wore them for three days at Disneyland, and had no issues.

Another vote for Olukai. I have 2 pair and I wear them at WDW almost every time I go. They are a little slide-y in the rain, but otherwise great!

If you like sport sandals, I really like Chacos. They USED to be made in the US...sadly not any more. They are endorsed by the US Podiatry Assn (or something along those lines).

My all-time favorite flip flops are my Fit Flops

I suffer no delusions that they tone my leg muscles extra, but they are unbelievably comfortable and the only shoes I've ever been able to wear to a football game and stand the entire time without pain.

I LOVE the reggae rasta! I have 4 pairs (each a diff. color) best flip flop ever

I walk a lot of the day for work (dog walker!) and just got myself a pair of Raggae Rastas a few weeks ago. Best shoes I have ever owned! So glad I got them and I will be wearing them for my WDW trip in 4 weeks. I usually cannot wear flip flops as I have arch support needs, but these are great, and so much cheaper than Chacos.

This is not to say that shoes, like most everything, aren't priced via some other method than quality (prestige, trendiness, etc.)

But like most things, you mostly get what you pay for. Your feet take a LOT of punishment, and cheap is sometimes, well, cheap!

Back when I used to ride motorcycles, there was one manufacturer that had an ad that said, "If you have a $50 head, buy a $50 helmet." I always liked that.

Obviously, budget is what it is. But lots of cheap items end up costing much more in the long run, through unintended ways.

I have a pair of Rafters, that I got for about $20 for flips and the sandals for $30. I find them both super comfy. I also have a pair of flips from Reef that are totally plastic and are awesome for pool or watermark shoes.

As a California gal- I live in flip flops for most of the year. As a result, I've become a bit of a snob about what I put on my feet.

I was a long time Reef fan, but have converted to Sanuk in the last year or so and I think I'm sold for life. I wear mine in the park (DLR) from open to close, and don't have any problems with sore feet, back, etc.

For those with plantar fasciatis, try Merril. I got my mom a pair since she needs pretty significant arch support. They are spendy, but she loves hers and they are one of the few shoes she can wear all day in comfort.
