Jumping into the fray here...
Would like to address a couple of points that have made by both sides. I grew up here in the WDW area, and I have never considered flip flops a "staple", nor have any of my friends. To us, flip flops are something you take on a camping trip to use as shower shoes...or maybe wear from your hotel room to the pool. But they are not footwear to be worn on a regular basis. So they're obviously not a "staple" to everyone in FL.
I personally couldn't wear flip flops to WDW. I have knee problems, and can't even wear my favorite beat-up Converse sneakers to WDW, or else I'm in major pain by the end of the day. So I wear hiking boots or sneakers with lots of support.
I also don't understand the trend of flip flops as dress wear. But I don't understand a lot of trends. I've never been a "trendy" person, I have created my own style that I enjoy, and I tend to stick with it.
But all of that is just MY opinion. Those are the decisions that I have made for myself and my own style. I could care less what everyone else wears, whether to WDW or anywhere else. I can't offer opinions on whether your feet will hurt if you wear flip flops to WDW cause I don't have experience in that area.
I just don't understand the vehement debates that tend to be started by the simplest of questions. Can't we all just get along?

). She has always told me to wear sneakers in the parks or you will get blisters. Out of the 14 times I've been to WDW, I have worn sneakers. My feet are always hot and sweaty by the time I get to the park and I HATE IT! I guess I have never really thought about wearing flipflops at the parks before but I think its a great idea! I'm all for it! Also, what are these Tevva's everybody is talking about? They sound comfty!

) Ever since then, we've been going whenever we find a few available days or weeks. Our family has been there for every major holiday and we just love the good times we have on our visits

I hope no one holds it against me.
I doubt I would, but you never know.

I wear them just about everywhere but to work. I usually go to WDW in January when it can be a bit chilly
, so tennies aren't too hot. This year, I'm making a bonus trip in August. The thought of wearing socks and tennis shoes in 90+ degree temperatures is out of the question IMO. I just bought a few pairs of Tevas and they are the best flip flops I've ever worn
! One of the pairs is the Kolina
