:confused3Do you wear flip flops at Universal? I do it at Disney but I have never been to Universal and I was wondering if it was O. K. on the rides?

I believe only ride that its a problem is Dueling dragons... There you take em off and either sit on em or hold em.

Yep I always wear flip flops. You have to keep them on on the Hulk and you have to take them off on Dueling Dragons (just sit on them and they're fine I vaguely remember being able to leave them in some kind of storage pocket on Dr Doom.
Hope the helps :thumbsup2

Yes, that is correct about Dr. Doom. There's a place to store your stuff in the little room where you board. I wore flip flops on our last trip.

Flip flops are fine as long as it doesn't rain. If it does you will find some areas that get as slick as ice, either be very careful or walk barefoot.

I second this. Twice I almost wiped out due to wet walkways.

Oh my gosh I third this! Thank goodness DH was standing righ next to me the first time. After that I didn't let go of him and still almost lost it a couple times!!

But yeah, I always wear my flip flops everywhere. It's not a problem there!

The slipperiness depends on the flip flop brand/bottom. My Joe Boxers are like ice skates, but I've never had a slipping problem with the ones I get from Target. I love 'em for rain because I'm not sloshing around in soaked socks and tennies.

Unfortunately, finding out which brands are or aren't slippery and if that is true in every section of the park can be a painful experiment, especially if you decide it's great on the red pavement, go trucking along and hit a patch of white stripe (go ahead, ask me how I know that :rotfl2:)

I know what you mean...don't ask me how I know Joe Boxers are slippery. Let's just say personal experience and leave it at that. ;)

I have always worn a New Balance or Nike running/walking shoe at the parks but since it was sooo wicked hot last June there I tried these out:

Adidas Calo Thong Leather. Super comfy and definitely not slippery when wet.
