The Flintstones premiered on Sept. 30,1960. One of the great cartoon series of all time.

Hardly ever missed it. Fridays at 7:30pm, if I remember correctly. I can remember the contest to name the baby, too. Pebbles was a perfect name for the "chip off the old block".

i still want one of those baby elephant sprinklers like they had

it's telling of the impact this show has had when multiple generations have a knowledge base in it-dd is 16 and when i mentioned the other day that i had heard of a company that sells buffalo ribs she was like "buffalo ribs, how big are they? they have to be like fred flintstone, tip over the car big!"

I loved it as a kid and still love it now. If I got Boomerang, I would not get anything done!

I did not watch it Primetime though.

Oh I hate to admit this but my big request for Christmas was Pebble and Bam Bam dolls the year they came out!

I still have them! well worn and played with but Bam Bam was so cute with his little cave man outfit and plastic club.
