I know some fellow canadians fly from Flint Bishop. I will post this here and the transportation boards. This will be a first time flying from Flint. We usually fly Buffalo. But couldn't beat the $102 flights on Southwest on Dec 23rd. So it is all new to us, Flint, Southwest, flying into Tampa not MCO.
I know Flint is a small airport, so that doesn't concern me. We have an early (7:00am) non stop. Anyone have any recommondations on a park, sleep and fly? Is there anywhere to get something to eat at the airport? If not, I will just bring some muffins with me.
Flying home, our flight is at 9:05 am from Tampa to FNT. Any recommondations on a hotel at the airport for the night before? We are going to drop our car off that night, and stay at a airport hotel to catch our flight home?
TIA

If you google park and fly there is a good website for just that. I don't rember the url but it was quite comprehensive for both airport and cruise.

I just stayed in Flint last weekend after a Birch Run shopping trip. We stayed at the Hampton Inn. I noticed there was an airport shuttle van, but I don't know the details. It was a very nice hotel, comfy beds. And if you are looking for dinner the night before departure the Redwood Inn was amazing:thumbsup2

We are flying out of Flint in August. We are in the same boat as you...we usually go out of Detroit with Delta but couldn't pass up the prices. We also were just in Tampa this past March. We have booked the residence inn in fnt for the night before.. I don't believe they have a park n fly option but I liked that there is a kitchen in the room for the night before. If money is not an option I would choose the Marriott right in the airport at tampa. If you have a rental car you can return it the night before and not have to worry about it the morning of. I do know there is a fairfield inn close by too.

Thank you for the info. We are doing exactly like that. Returning our car the night before around 10 pm. So was looking for a airport hotel. I will def will look into those. I like the Marriotts.
