I think depends on your interests. One of our family friends is a falconer and he loves the show. I'm terrified of birds (though I do love falconry!) so I've never actually seen the show.
Big yay from us... but as the username and signature might suggest, we like birds, a lot. We share our home with 5 of them, and I love owls too, so the whole thing was incredible and we're planning on seeing it a few times this year!
I'll have to say skip it if your day is full. We saw it for the first time on our last trip and it was just ok. Maybe my expectations were too high based on the rave reviews on here. It was too much talking and not enough birds. My husband thought it wasn't any better than the bird show at our local zoo. Certainly not up to the caliber of the Lion King or Nemo shows.
Wow thanks everyone for the responses! I think I will keep it in the plan and try our best to make it! Now that my kids are getting to grade-school age I do want to try some of the more educational stuff anyway. You know, justify taking them out of school for the trip!
I enjoyed it, definitely worth doing once. Now that I've seen it though I can't imagine going out of my way to see it again unless it changed significantly. Kind of a one and done for and, even though it is enjoyable, I don't think it lives up to some the RAVE reviews it gets on these boards.
We did it for the first time this trip, mainly because we were passing by just as it was getting started and we needed something to do before our lunch ADR. It was a fun show, but it is basically the exact same show that they do at our local zoo. There was nothing better or different about it. I will be skipping it from now on just because we can see the same show at home whenever we want. We will save our Disney time for other experiences.
