The only thing I do feel bad about is that last time I was there Guana Joe was played by one of the former WS Players. I certainly hope he gets another job!

I LOVE Up, it's one of my favorite movies, and I totally did the Russell M&G at AK last time I was there. But I'm always a little sad to see something with no-IP leave. I like the balance of IP stuff and non-IP stuff at Disney World. However, it is nice to see something new

I usually see it every time I visit WDW (from California). Only saw Guano Joe three times and for me, his delivery made the show. "People, don't follow the flag!"

I wonder if the new show will be up and running by May. I liked FOW but the schtick is a little old. It’ll be nice to freshen it up and still get to see all the birds (if that’s what they do).

I think my most recent visit (about a week ago) was the nail in the coffin for me. The girl doing the show had the mic super close to her mouth so it did that almost static-y sound (and they had it super hot), and after almost everything every bird did she would squeal "YOU'RE SO CUTE!!!!" Oh man, it was funny at first, but eventually I thought "either get one of the regular guys to be the straight man for Guano Joe or let this show go".

They also seemed to have lost a few of the animal acts that I remembered in the past. At least one. All in all, it was a much slower show this time after having enjoyed many times in the past.

When is it closing? We are visiting early February...would it be gone by then? I was hoping to see it. When i check the disneyworld website there are no shows scheduled after Dec 31 2017. thanks

According to a number of sources the show should be up and running for Animal Kingdoms 20th Anniversary in April. However this is not 100% confirmed

Disney themselves said the plan is to open in time for the 20th anniversary of Animal Kingdom.

FYI for those who want to see Guana Joe. I saw it this morning and talked to Guano Joe afterwards briefly. He was already talking with another guest, and Joe said he has Thursday and Friday off. It sounded like those are his normal days off.

I really enjoy this show as it is. I guess adding Up characters will make it more appealing to kids. It makes it much less appealing to me. Bird/animal shows don’t need movie characters.

This is the favorite AK show of a lot of my relatives, so they'll be sad. I'll have to get my brother to see this before it closes, he hasn't seen it yet

I agree completely about the show not needing characters. And thanks for the Guana Joe tip.
