Flights Niagara Falls or Buffalo

Hello,

I have posted before on flying out of Buffalo, and was informed to also check flying out of Niagara Falls NY for our trip in November/December (plan to go Nov 24/25 and come back Dec 3/4)

Looking for feedback on the following:

1) Flights out of Buffalo right now are $256 RT Airtran, $320 RT Jetblue, $280 Southwest. Have we waited too long to book a cheaper flight than what I have listed here? Any magic pixie dust coming our way for a late August/early September price drop? I figure by late September would be the drop-off date to book a flight from Buffalo to MCO for prices lower than above?

2) Direct Air from Niagara Falls NY to Lakeland ORL Airport. Has anyone been on Direct Air from NF and what has your experience been like? How far is the Lakeland Airport to Disney? Right now they have $238 RT flights on our dates. Any feedback on booking here instead of one of the providers out of Buffalo would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't flown Direct Air before but I wanted to let you know that they have half price fares for a few days right now. You use the code ABC123 when searching fares and it will show up. For specific details go to the Canadian Trip planning board and you will see the post which tells you the exact time frame. Hope someone can give you feedback on them. We are considering these flights too but need more feedback before deciding.

$250 is pretty much the going rate for Upstate/Central NY airports (SYR, ROC, BUF). Yes, they can go lower, but there are no guarantees. We usually will bite the bullet at the $250 mark.

About three weeks ago I know SW had $88 one way, and $129 back. I keep checking prices myself to see if they go lower again, but to no avail. I know two people who have flown out of NF and just be *very* careful booking! I had a friend who was going to West Palm Beach and the plane was over 8 hours late getting to the NF airport, they ended up stopping to drop off passengers in NW Florida, and then didn't take off again until the next morning. Another friend of mine had no problems at all. Good luck getting a great price! We have decided to drive down-with the four of us it is a couple hundred dollars cheaper and the road trip is half the fun!

Niagara Falls is a smaller airport, closer to the border, and free parking if i recall correctly.

I can't share any personal experience since i've never flew out of there, but i'd give DirectAir a try, in particular if you can get half-off fares.

Unfortunately the DirectAir promo code is only until November 18th
I have read on other posts about DirectAir from other airports and it seems 50/50 on good/bad responses.
