All trips to Florida now have to be in School holidays and our daughter is now 13 therefore an adult. In the past we have always travelled either Virgin or BA Fly Drive (we have DVC Vacation Club). Looking at booking at possibilities for next year and I am considering Travel City Direct.

Any views or exeriencies please or alternatives much appreciated.

Hi Phil,

My family and I have travelled with Travel City Direct on a couple of occasions. Planes are clean and tidy, staff are polite and helpful.

However, they are prone to long delays up to 3hrs on outward and inward journeys. They fly into Sandford - good for collecting and delivering the car as it is on site. Airport itself pretty basic and all on one level - once you pass upstairs you canno't go back outside. On the return journey you are asked to drop off the car 3 hours before take off.

Our last flight from Cardiff, the flight entertainment didn't work - so that was great fun on a 7/8hr flight.

There are a number of upgrades that you can book and if you can do this.

That said they are the cheapest carrier around.

Best Wishes

We are also tied to the school holidays and being in Ireland don't have the option of direct flights. We use Delta and Continental and if you book them as soon as they are released (11 months out) you can get some really good deals.

I don't know how they compare to TCD but it might be worth a look
