No we have not. Open to suggestions! I just looked at the pAn pacific and fairmont and those are way too much especially considering we won't be arriving until the middle of the night.

Update: Just kidding, totally just booked pan pacific!

Wow.... Pan Pacific looks like having a sale compared to the competition for that date.

I was going to suggest the Radisson Vancouver Airport for $136. Includes free parking for your vehicle. If you are at the Panny, you can just drop the vehicle after checking into the hotel.

Just reread your post about a 9:35pm Seattle arrival. With a three hour drive.... looks like you won't be getting to the Panny until 1:30am with rest stops.

Yes which is why I wanted to keep it on the cheap because it's not like we will actually get to enjoy it much BUT they have a late check out of 2 pm for cruisers so we may choose a later PAT and take advantage of missing the crowds to enjoy the pool at the pan pacific. We have 3 kids as well. I thought it was pricey at first but the more I shopped around, it seemed on the high-average side. It was $440 for my family of 5 (includes breakfast buffet for 2.. hope it's good). Still trying to decide if we'll rent the car and pay to park it for the week or do a one way and return it at the pan pacific when we arrive. Will have to research more the cost of a week rental+parking or 2 one way rentals. When I looked into it before, it was pretty close in price. The benefit of keeping it for the whole week is that we will already have it and not have to wait in lines upon debarking, so we'll be ready to hit the road after express walk off. Thank you so much for all the info.. this board has been so helpful!!

From what I've gathered, the train times will not be an option for us on debarkation morning. So the options are car rental and bus and we are definitely leaning more towards car rental at this point.

We rented a car in Orlando and parked it for a week at Port Canaveral. We needed it on either end of our trip for a couple of days, so it didn't make sense to rent and return. I watched the prices of the rentals daily and they can fluctuate a lot, so I got the best possible price and it was better than renting and returning.

I know you aren't in FL, but I'd still watch prices on rentals. As long as you don't put money down, you can make reservations and cancel them up until your trip, so you don't have to decide which method you prefer until much closer to your trip. Also, if you have a Costco membership, check out rentals via their travel site. They may have some deals, although not every day is a good deal day for them.

Regarding your hotel plans, for my family, if we arrived at 1:30am, we'd be sleeping in the next morning if we didn't have to be somewhere, not getting up for pool and brunch time. But everyone's different and you all may be too excited to sleep anyway.

We have 3 small children. They don't know what sleeping in is.. they may sleep in a little later than normal but I expect everyone to be up by 9 or so at the latest.
