I was wondering if you take an internal/domestic flight in the US do you need to go through Immigration and fill out the forms again?

As i'm looking to fly into one airport then fly somewhere else in the US about a week later.

Thanks

No problems with an internal flight and immigration. Much simpler!

The only issue is if you are not a USA resident and you have one way flights in USA, they seem to pick on you for extra security checks.

I had this in Las Vegas, rather than drive to Hollywood I did my own internal flight to Burbank, we got to security and they said, your airline has 'singled' you out for extra checks, as there is a ''X'' on your boarding card.

Thats me, wife and two young kids, we had to go back through a different long queue, and it took ages and was most intense.

I wasn't pleased!

No immigration though just check your visa waiver.

Wow you must have been unlucky.

We've done many internal flights and never even usually use our passports just our driving licence as ID, you don't even need to show your passport at check-in if you have the photo driving licence so no issues with the visa form.

Internal flights are just like catching a bus in the US. :goodvibes

one way flights are targeted for extra security whether you're a foreigner or a US citizen...

Internal flights are not like catching a bus - you still have to go through some fairly rigorous security checks.

As for immigration, you have to clear that before you even get to see your suitcase on your flight to the US.

If you fly direct or indirect, you ONLY have to clear immigration and supply the green visa waiver form at your first landing and process through immigration.
If you fly direct into Orlando, you "clear" immigration in orlando, if you fly into New York say, you "clear" immigration in new york and then just either go through security when going from International terminal to domestic terminal, or when heading for the domestic travel gates.

Immigration and security are essentially different things.

Im my experience (on just our last trip in May we had 5 one way flights) it is very very easy and straight forward.
You turn up at the airport checkin at the desk (we normally check in a one of the diy stations) give your bags in, show ID and then just through the metal detector area and then on your way to the gate. Show your ticket and id and your on. When you arrive at your airport it's straight off the plane to your bags and leave (no immigration or security).
