No, it's seems a little like sitting on a sport motorcycle. There's the wings that go behind your cave and a back support. But nothing above or in front of you.
(Other than the 3-d glasses)

Rode it today and I couldn't really feel anything behind my legs and the back restraint started a little tight but then loosened up. I'm a smaller person so not sure if that makes any difference. It didn't make me sick either and I can't ride Star Tours. It was a lot of fun
