Flight of Passage at AK

My hubby is SO excited for our first trip to DW, he is most looking forward to all of the Avatar stuff, particularly Flight of Passage. We are staying off-site so only 30 days in advance can we book FP's.. give it to me straight.. he's going to be waiting in line for like, 2 hours, isn't he? I don't think he minds, I just want to be prepared that we are going to be have to be split up for that part since the rest of my family has no interest in it. Do FP's EVER open for this one?

You should certainly keep trying for a FP but it will be the hardest to come by.

Arrive to the park in the morning 60-90 min prior to park opening and he can ride it with a short wait.

Next best would be to wait until the very end of the night and ride at park closing.

If you don't arrive well ahead of park opening, have a FP, or ride at park closing, then it'll be a long wait

I would keep looking even day of. I canceled my FEA FP a few days after it opened the day before I just did not want to EPCOT. I have also canceled 7DMT come to think of it I have even canceled FOP FP because my friend could not come. So you just never know


And if you have just one you will have better chance of getting one

Actually, I think the FP is great (rode FoP 3X recently), but the stand-by queue is amazing. I literally and intentionally gave up a FP opportunity to experience the stand-by queue; I didn't regret it!

But, check after 9 AM the day of intention of riding.

Just today they released a bunch of FP for less than 30 days out. I wasn't able to get one at 60 days but got one today for less than 30. Just watch the forum because if Disney releases a big batch of them it will get posted.

There have been plenty of reports of less than 30 minute waits at the end of the evening. Just get in line before park closing time and be aware that the posted wait times are intentionally exaggerated at night to discourage riders.

We went this morning and with a 9am opening they let us in the park around 8:10. Went to the opening of Pandora where they held us up till 8:30. So my advice would be to get there by 8 to ride with little wait.
