Hi all we are going to WDW in October of 2007 and will be flying from New York(after a long flight from Australia). Can you tell me what a good fare for this trip would be. I can get a flight with Delta for $198 return is this ok or can I do better. Also should I book it now or will better prices come out closer to the dates. Thanks for your help

I just booked a flight with American Airlines for $144.40 that includes all taxes and fees during spring break of 2007 when flights tend to be higher in price. It's from JFK to MCO.Have you checked Jet Blue? I gotten pretty good rates from them as well. princess:

If this is a one way fare, I think it is high. Are you flying out of JFK or LGA?

I think a good fare would be in the ball park of 100.00 or less for a one way fare.

Right now $198 for Oct 2007 R/T seems about $50 too high.
But by then, who knows.
We've been flying from upstate NY to MCO for under $150 R/T this year.
But for 50 bucks, to guarantee your trip now might be OK.

What dates did you book for spring '07? When did you book? I'm searching for air for the 3rd week of Apr from NYC, and can't find any deals! Would love your rate. Just wondering how much longer I have to wait b/4 I might start seeing some deals!

This is a great fare for what's available now. However, the Discount carriers like Jet Blue don't have their schedule open for then yet.

The other thing you might want to consider is that Delta (and all the other major airlines) might change their flight schedules 100 times between now and next October. Since you are flying in from overseas, you won't be as flexible with what changes you can live with, since you need time to go though Customs and Immigration, claim luggage, and take the Airtrain to the other Terminal and go though Security again.

What I would recommend is that you book your flight to Orlando through the airline you are using to fly from Australia. Most of the airlines are partnered with others in a Global network. That way, they are responsible if your first flight is delayed or changed. They would have to rebook your connection and you won't be responsible.

Ludwig Von Drake,
I booked 2 days ago on Jet Blue.We fly out of Jfk on March 23 of 07.
I noticed adjusting your flight date even one day can save you hundreds. If we were to fly out just one day later it would have been 399.00 per ticket.
