I am so mad. I checked www.aa.com like I always do to see if the cost of my flights went down and to see if there had been any changes to my flight. And there was. I went from a 545am departure to a 700am departure and connecting in ohare instead of lambert( stl ). I am so mad. My flight now arrives 3 hours later in orlando than I originally was booked for. mad mad mad mad is how I feel right now. When I called american they offered no solution. They said if I left my flights alone and the departure time changed back to 545 i might be able to go back to the original flight I had.

just venting. thanks for listening.

You have a right to be satisfied with your flight times - this was not the one you agreed to. I had a similar situation with Independence so I looked at other airlines/flights, found a better one with SW, got Independence to refund me my money and I got the tix with SW.

If the time change is more than 90 minutes, then the airline has to refund your ticket in full if you don't like the new times. You could then find another airline with times you like better. Check with other airlines, and if you find something you like, book it and request a refund from American.

My AA red eye (LAX to MCO) was cancelled so they moved me to the next day morning flight. Instead of asking for a full refund (plus our tix prices went down) and rebooking at the cheaper fare, I just asked for to be changed to the day prior AM flight. Ahgggh! Obviously I agreed with the new time so I am no longer entitled to a refund. Plus I also had to book an additional day in a hotel.

Something similar happened to us. The charter airline went from a direct flight to a connecting flight and then we had a 11AM departure instead of a 5PM departure. Lost an entire day at the parks.

Not much I could do. That was their only flight out and to change airlines would have been expensive. Could have been worse. They cancelled all flights on that route 2 weeks later.
