I fly Southwest monthly and have heard all about them redoing the cabins beginning in March to a few planes, with all of them being finished in a year from now. Imagine my surprise when my flight to Orlando was on one of the "new" planes!
I like the look of it, and like the lighter tan color and the new carpet too. The seats seems to be the same size, although there was *maybe* a tiny bit less leg room. The one thing that I really did love was the new headrest area on the back of the seats. The sides are sightly winged, which will be a great help if I want to take a nap and not wind up falling over on my neighbor
Two other things that seemed different......on the older planes I had to uncross my legs to put the tray down, but on this one one I didn't, rather the tray just slightly touched my top leg, but not uncomfortably so. I'm 5'3", so I don't know if height is a factor in that. Also, the overhead bins don't seem to be as tall. I say this because I carried on a bag that I normally carry on and have never had issues getting it in or out of the overhead bin, and I flew with it yesterday on the first leg of my trip in the old plane with no issues. Get to the new version and I struggled to get it in and out. So, the height on them definitely seems to be less in my opinion. Overall, I really enjoyed the look and feel of the new interiors
