And the ME folks weren't on level three. In fact I didn't see them at all, but after a long day I was focused on one thing, retreiving my car from the deck and getting home. On my previous two flights in they were very obvious. Now they are no more so than the other drivers downstairs which is the way it should be.

Very interesting information, Anne. I guess Disney felt pressured enough by the complaining towncar/limo companies to play fair, unless they bwere forced to. Even though it may be more fair, I'd still prefer to see the Disney reps right there on level 3. Makes my vacation more exciting sooner!

Well, I was back at the airport not 24 hours later to pick up DH, and the DME reps were ALL OVER level 3. In fact it was almost overkill. And I did over hear one direct someone to purchase transportation on Mears to get to WDW. That steamed me to no end. I'm almost tempted to contact the FTC on it, that is definitely a tortious act because it violates free trade, and creates a monopoly. And yes, I have the persons name. And yes, I will be complaining to WDW about it.

Anne, go easy on Disney! Don't you think it makes it more exciting for Disney vacationers to see the CMs as soon as they get off the plane?
If towncar drivers were to be allowed on 3, they would just be there to pick up their passengers, because I can't imagine them wasting their time soliciting when probably 99% of travelers already have their transport arrangements made. I understand about fairness, but do I make a bit of sense?

Yeah, it's not as if Mears didn't already HAVE the monopoly on bus/shuttle service to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Orlando, Kissimmee and the surrounding areas already, right? Remember, any passenger without prior reservations who is directed to the MEARS counter to PAY for the ride to a Walt Disney World Resort is paying MEARS, not Disney.

But the point really isn't that they have to pay for Mears if they don't already have a reservation, it is that Disney is the only one allowed to be on Level 3. So they are the first and only person that the traveler will come across. I think that Magical Express is a great idea. It really simplifies a trip to Disney for alot of people. Just make all travelers without prior reservations available to all modes of transportation on the same level of the airport.
