enjoying your reviews/photos so far!

you sure did "hit up" that fixin's bar there!!

Thank you to everyone for the nice comments! I am enjoying the report although I might have to do Day 2 in installments since it was such a long day of eating!

We got to Epcot early and went on a few rides and then hit the World Showcase around 11:30am:

First stop: Champagne!

I just love having champagne early in the day!! Me and JE both had the Nectar Imperial. We rated it a 7 out of 10. We rated everything throughout the day, but you'll see that the ratings get sort of sketchy as the day goes on!

On to Chile for Spicy Beef Empanadas:

I had one and JE had 2:

I think they were larger than last year, but they were still fabulous! JE had been thinking about them all year and he was not disapoointed. We rated them a 10 and the Alpha Syrah 7.5

Then on to Argentina! I had the Grilled Beef with Chimichurri Sauce:

It was served over mashed potatoes which I don't remember from last year, but it was delicious! I gave it an 8

JE & EE had the Beef and Corn Pie:

Sorry that it's sideways! They rated it an 8. We also had the Reserve Malbec, very yummy (8)

Ok 3 booths down and I already needed a break! So we went on the Mexico Ride to rest. Up next The Mouse Catch!!

Ok, so I had been looing forward to the Mouse Catch ever since I heard that it was going to be a booth! I am a cheese freak so of course I got all three!

Dorothea, Holland; Asiago Pressato, Italy; Manchego, Spain:

The Mouse Catch had the longest line but it was totally worth it! Of course I rated everything a 10 and we had the Martini & Rossi Prosecco as well:

It doesn't get any better than that!

Then it was time for Mexico, another one of my favorite booths!

I love both of them so I got the Chilaquiles AND the Quesadilla con Chorizo:

I also got the Cabernet Sauvignon! JE got 2 Quesadillas and the Petite Syrah. Are you noticing the trend that he has been getting 2 of everything!! We rated the food 10 and the wine 8!

Then we decided to skip the food at Spain and just get wine, so me and JE got the Abadia Retuerta Seleccion Especial! It was fabulous and we gave it an 8.

We decided to drink the wine from Spain with the Beef Goulash and Bacon Dumpling from Austria:

Not sure if that was the best food and wine pairing but the goulash was very yummy, we gave it an 8!

I apologize that at this point I do not remember what EE and PP were eating! So you'll have to help me out on that sis!

Next up: China!

Great updates sis!!!

At the Mouse Catch I got the exact same thing as JE and SS. PP just got the cheese as he's not a big drinker at all!

In Mexico I ordered the chilaquiles and PP ordered the quesadillas but we tasted each others because they are both definitely fan favorites around here :)

I also got the goulash which was outstanding!!

How could I have missed this food review? It looks like work ALWAYS gets in the way of the good things!
I am definitely in!!!!!

Love the reviews and photos! :goodvibes

Mmmmm, that is one big plate of cheese. I think my only problem with it would be not enough crackers - in my opinion, you can't beat a nice piece of freshly baked bread with cheese :thumbsup2

Oh man fresh baked bread would have been ideal!! The crackers were tasty and you got four in the package but not enough for all that cheese for sure.

Great report...thank you! Just seeing that yummy pic if the Chilaquiles makes me want it really bad. I will have to make it this week (I have an adapted recipe from last year's cookbook if interested). I didn't have one this year since we started on the Canadian side and was too full.

Again, thank you!

Ok, I would LOVE the recipe!! Especially from a fellow Giants fan!! :)

SO then we went on the Norway ride and took a break from the Food & Wine booths to go to the Norway Bakery for....

School Bread!!!!

This was my first experience with School Bread and I loved it!! I'm sad I didn't get to try the original, but I really can't see how it could have been any better!

Me, JE, and EE shared 2 of them! PP is very against the changes since he was a huge fan of the original so he had Rice Cream

He really enjoyed it, but I was too busy with the School Bread to try it!

On to China!

We had the Chicken Sha Cha:

This was not my favorite, I gave it a 6, something about the texture of the chicken weirded me out, but the sauce was very yummy.

We also had the Pork Potstickers:

They were a little dry so I gave them a 6 as well. I think I was just sad that the School Bread was all gone!

Me and EE also had one of our favorites, the Plum Wine Green Tea Cooler!

Here is EE enjoying her's:

We gave it an 8, but looking back I'm not sure why it wasn't a 10, I could go for one right now!

JE had Tsing Tao Beer :) So this was the booth where the mixing of alcohol began!

I do love the plum wine green tea cooler and when Food & wine is not going on I stop for plum wine green tea slushies also pretty awesome :)

The potstickers were a bit off the day I was there with SS but earlier in the festival I had them and they were awesome!

Then with great sadness I must tell you that we skipped a booth! But it was not entirely our fault. Me and JE were in the line for India when the guy up front said they were out of Samosas "temporarily" Since we had a lot more food to eat and that was the only thing we were interested in at that booth, we had to move on!

So on to South Africa!

We had the Durban Spiced Chicken with Coconut Milk-infused Root Vegetables

I gave it a 6, again I loved the flavor, not so much the chicken part

We also had the Bobotie with Mango Chutney

It was yummy, I gave it a 7, Loved the Bobotie, but I'm not a Mango Fan

Me and JE had the Pinotage and The Goatfather Red Blend, they were very good and we gave them both an 8.

Not sure which one is featured in this Bobotie picture:
