Based on the new Marathon Course video, it looks like the Mickey Mouse in the 2013 Marathon Logo looks the same as he did in the 2012 logo. I was hoping they would go back to the 2011 Mickey. I think the 2012/2013 Mickey is a very flat, two dimensional character whereas the 2011 Mickey (which looks like the Mickey on all the runDisney merchandise) is more 3D. The current Mickey looks like he belongs on a kid's t-shirt. But an adult runner can proudly wear the 2011 Mickey. Is it just me?

I'll bite and say I am confused. I went back and looked at my race shirts and see that the shading and eyes are different for the 2011 logo - slightly. The 12 and 13 eyes are a more old school pie eyed Mickey. Honestly, since this is the 20th, I say go old school.

I probably should have posted images. Here's what I'm comparing:

I don't know if these are large enough to compare. But I like the shading, the body shape, and even the running gear better on the 2011 Mickey. I especially like the way his ears are laying slightly back like he's speeding along. He just looks more animated to me. Just personal preference I guess.

I see.... I really didn't notice the change

I am with you on the 11. It is the one that Disney used through the 2000's. I actually like it so much that I have him on my ankle. We go everywhere together.

I wonder why they changed it? It was not for the better in my opinion.

Cool on the tattoo. I've been thinking of getting a running themed one myself. I've got a religious one on my right shoulder blade. My rule is that it better be something that really means something to you since it's going to be with you a lifetime. Oh, and it should be placed somewhere that doesn't sag too much with age - hee, hee.
