Anyone have this? I've seen all the videos Peter Gregg makes on it (and there are many).

I like that it was smaller than any other out there and directional for different effects.

Now they have the original I can get for $99 or the Extreme I can get for special now for $89 (reg 169 - seems high).

The extreme has all the effects cards that you have to keep track of but I feel I'm not a pro and really would take the time to utilize it that way.

Guess the price is not that much of a difference to pay the $10 more for the basic model that I would use more.

Anyone have experience with this diffuser. Can't seem to find mention of it on here.

Thanks!

if you look at comments on camera lighting forums such as POTN, FM, etc. these types of small flash diffusers are considered a waste, both in terms of light and your money. But if you want to try it buy the generic ebay knock-off !

I haven't seen any good reviews for this product. Bouncing a flash off a wall / ceiling will most likely give better results.....and total cost for that is $0

I had to buy the wall / ceiling that came with my house. So the total cost of bouncing my flash was substantially more $$$$$ than a flash diffuser. :sad1:

ok I give :confused3 what are POTN and FM? Thanks!

I'm a total amateur looking to better my indoor flash shots. That Gary Fong thing looks enormous.

If you want to improve your flash photography, I would suggest that you spend time reading the Strobist, especially his Lighting 101.

For what it's worth, I've got a bunch of flash modifiers. Gels are the only thing that I use on a significant percentage of my flash shots. After that, I'd say that off-camera flash devices (long cable, wireless commander) come next. After that it is a mix - mini-softboxes, umbrellas, grids, snoots, reflectors, gaffer tape - they all get occasional use.

Well the popup flash on the DSLRs works great for a little fill when you're shooting outdoors in bright sunlight, someone has an article on it, either strobist or someone else. Especially if you don't feel like lugging an extra full size flash around. When I go to WDW I'm planning on bringing my Gary Fong pop up flash diffuser. I can definitely tell the difference when I'm using it and when I'm not. It would be nice to have one that is a little bigger they make lots of them but this one is convenient. I have a couple extra full size flashes but carrying them around too long is just not a fun experience. There's another kind of pop up flash diffuser that attaches to your lens it's much larger (bigger is better) but I can't find it online. I'll keep looking.
