 Didn't get to try Flame Tree BBQ ribs on my last visit. I am planning on trying it on my next. Are the ribs good? Went last year to Mickey's Backyard BBQ and the ribs tasted just like the ribs at Chef Mickey's Dinner. The ribs were ok, but am hoping they taste better at Flame Tree BBQ. Anyone ever try them? Thanks.

I am not a rib expert by any means, but I thought they were decent. Not awesome, but good. Anyone else?

they are great ribs. the first time i had them though, they were a bit greasy for my taste, but still enjoyed them. The next time i had them they were not greasy. They have a nice "bark" on them. They go great w/ that corn muffin! I am skipping FT this time though b/c we're trying TS places like Tusker House and Yak and Yeti-their ribs look good too! Try the ribs at Sci-Fi, they are very lean and tender. mmmm ribs!

I am a total rib snob (I feel if the meat doesn't fall off the bone, I hate 'em.) and I thought they were pretty good. Honestly, I ordered them to get the corn muffin. ("Mmmmmmm....corn muffin." he says in his best Homer Simpson accent.) But I was pleasantly surprised.

Oooh...a bit OT but if you like ribs and you are ever in Myrtle Beach, eat at the Carolina Roadhouse and order the Giant Beef Rib. (It's one single beef rib.) OMG....it was unbelievable! I've never had beef rib that good in my life.

They're not great but they're not bad. . DH makes the best ribs in the world so it's hard for me to judge. We don't normally eat ribs in restaurants for that reason but we have had them at Flame Tree BBQ.

I thought they were good. Everytime we go there Dh and I split the ribs and pulled pork sandwich so we can get a little bit of both.

Barbecued ribs are one of my favorite meals. I find the ribs at Flame Tree BBQ to be very good for a theme park. We are sure to never miss stopping here (my DH loved the chicken and I enjoyed the pulled pork one year too).

Thanks so much. I am putting FT on my must do list in AK. We did try the ribs at SciFi and loved them. Every trip we go to SciFi. Just love it. One of our fav places was the Steakhouse in CR. They had these dumplings to die for. :sad2: So sad they have closed or will be closing soon. Thanks again for all your help.

Check Sci-Fi's menu to see if ribs are still on it. I read somewhere recently that the menu changed a great deal.

DH loved the ribs there:goodvibes , and he gets ribs everywhere he goes. He also liked them at HDDR. Flame Tree has great food IMHO for a CS meal; the chicken was great. You get a lot of bang for your buck.:thumbsup2 A word of warning for Flame Tree--at prime lunch time it is very hard to find a seat, which is hard to imagine because they have lots of seats. We had to sit on steps and were under trees where lots of birds lived. :headache: We got pooped on twice.

I did read about the birds around FT BBQ. I will be sure to get there early to try to get a seat free of the birds...lol. Thanks for the tip about Sci-Fi. I will be sure to check out the menu before I make the ressie. I hope they still have the ribs.

I'm a BBQ buff, and Flame Tree is surprisingly good for theme park fast food -- it's quite good, my favorite place to eat at AK.

I LOVE Flame Tree BBQ and the ribs are wonderful!! No matter how busy it is if you love BBQ or ribs you have to stop by, and the portion size is great for the price.

Is the best CS restaurant on property.
Presuming you (all) like bbq, that is.
.
Not as good as one's super-favorite spot in Texas, Memphis or Kansas City perhaps ... but more than passable. Especially compared to the junk that is generally served at other counters.

I agree with every word. I doubt we'll ever go again and not eat there.

I will also agree that for a CS place at a theme park they are quite good. If I were to get them at home at a regular restaurant I would call them average at best. As it is this is still my favorite place to eat at AK.
