When is Flame Tree BBQ open? This place sounds great! What's the best thing to order?
Thanks
:sunny:

Flame Tree is really good! It's always been open at lunch time when we go. We got a plate with ribs and corn on the cob I believe.

We've had the ribs twice. Comes with corn and beans. Biggest plate of ribs enuf to share.

herc.

The ribs are great - they are actually bbq there and dont' just paint sauce on baked ribs. DD liked the kid's meal there - I think pb&j.

as someone who doesn't eat red meat or porki loved the salad. the dressing on it was yumalicious. i was able to pick at my sister's chicken sandwich....oh man that bbq sauce was to die for.

Flame Tree is WONDERFUL!!! We usually eat lunch there when we are in AK. Last year I got the 1/2 bbq chicken. It was HUGE and very very good.

Is there a full slab option? Allears menu just shows 1/2 slab.

Anyone been there recently? Are they open this time of the year? My mouth is watering! :goodvibes

I can only guess that you guys are all going at a different time of year to me, because I have NEVER seen it open :sad1:

I've looked longingly at the menu a number of times and licked my lips, wishing it could be open, but I guess that's one of the disadvantages of going at a 'slow' time of year (October / November).

Our first 2 trips were made during October. The last one in 2004 was the Last week of October and Flame tree was open both times.

I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was excellent. It's become one of my must haves.

Oh I love the Flame Tree Barbecue!! We have to eat there every trip to the AK! The kids love th pb&j, I love the huge chicken sandwich with corn on the cob and DH will eat just about anything there. You can always smell it before you see it. Love sitting up on the patio and listening to the band and people watching. Great place!!

We have eaten at the Flame Tree many times and have always enjoyed our meals. We have ordered the pulled pork platters and the ribs. The food has ALWAYS been excellent. We have visited in March, April, May, June, and November, and the Flame Tree was open for us each time.

This is my favorite counter service meal. I  the ribs and chicken. We're usually there the second week of October and it is always open.

Pulled pork sandwich is perfect. We actually had lunch here at about 10:30am one day!

Flame Tree was open in early-December 04 and mid-May 04. I've seen the "seasonal" description, but don't know exactly when it would be closed. Both of these '04 trips were during non-peak times.

LOVE the food there. It was (sadly, perhaps) the highlight of our dining experience last May. I'm not a big fan of ribs, but the BBQ pork sandwich was wonderful, as were the onion rings.

We typically split our trip meals between sit-down and counter service. This is the first Disney restaurant (in either category) to be added to our must visit list.

Flame Tree was only open seasonally after the 9/11 cutbacks and was closed when we were at AK in Mar '02. But I think it is open all the time now. It was open last Mar '04 and I think it has been for the last year.
