Flame Tree BBQ review

We finally tried this and it was very good! We bought 2 adult meal certificates and ordered the 1/2 slab of St. Louis Ribs and 1/2 smoked chicken meals to share with me, DH, DD9 and DD8. It was plenty of food and a good deal. We got bottled water and toll house ice cream sandwiches for our snack. We order 2 extra frozen bananas so we all could get a snack. Very good!

Thanks for the review - We love that place. We can be planning on going somewhere else for lunch, but if we catch the Flametree smell in the wind, we make a u- turn and head on over...

Haven't tried their ribs, but I loved their pulled pork sandwiches, and I usually dont liike pulled pork.

FlameTree is my favorite restaurant!! It's a must eat every trip. I haven't had the frozen bananas before...are they also at FlameTree?? They sound yummy!!

We got the frozen bananas at a food cart in Animal Kingdom. I don't know for sure if they have them a Flame Tree. They are great, dipped in chocolate and rolled in nuts! I liked them more than the Mickey ice cream sandwiches!

I also forgot to add that the seating area is so enjoyable and nice! We ate by the duck pond!

Yes they still have the vouchers! Yes you do save plus they give you a very large drink with your meal!

Where do you get the vouchers?

You buy them at the restaurant. In Nov they were $11.99 for adults and $5.99 for kids. Kids do have to order off the kids menu. But besides lunch you also get a coupon for either a bottled soda or bottled water and a box of popcorn or ice cream. Soda and ice cream cost about $5 alone so its a great value. We always get the bottled drinks as we are leaving and use them in our room later.

Hi - I just wanted to jump in here and say that Flametree BBQ has excellent pulled pork sandwiches. We've eaten there twice and everyone loved the food. I am planning to eat there again on our next trip. I even dreamed about it once so it must be good. Don't normally dream about food. Daydreams, maybe, but not at night, LOL.

We were just at WDW early this month & being newly minted DDE members, wondered the same thing. As we found out, though - you cannot use the DDE to buy the AK Meal Vouchers/Tickets. You can either buy your food using the DDE or buy the AK vouchers to get your food, but can't use both (discounts)at the same time. I didn't crunch all the numbers exactly, but ballparked them in my head and thought that the Meal Vouchers were a better deal, instead of using just the DDE.
