Flame Tree Barbeque is closing for refurbishments when my family arrives =(. What other Quick Service places would you recommend at AK for lunch? :dance3:

Oh you scared me with this title! I thought you meant for good!

I like the Yak and Yeti counter service. Crispy chicken was good.

From the looks of it there aren't very many options-And the worst of it is I just looked at all the rest of the closures while I was checking this out and have just discovered IASW and ST will both be closed for our trip:sad2:

When is Flame Tree BBQ going to be closed?

Yak and Yeti yum yum yum. Whatever I get there (orange chicken maybe? Sweet and sour maybe? cant remmeber at the moment but its something like that) is AMAZING!

The pizza at Pizzafari is blah, but their Italian sandwich is very yummy. I'd go with that.

I'm looking at Yak and Yeti if we are in the mood for that kind of food. Or Restaurant-dinosaur, whatever it's called. Pizzafari wouldn't be good for us because the pizza is too small for my husband.

However, my favorite "meal" at Animal Kingdom is the egg rolls back near the Flights of Wonder stage. Instead of getting two, I might get four and then get popcorn later.

We always eat at Restaurantasaurus. (geez I hate typing that word...lol)

Pretty good CS. Good burger, hot dogs and nice toppings bar. Also it is air conditioned...a huge positive for us. ;)

We really love the hot Italian style sandwich at Pizzafari! It's pretty huge, and delicious! We had that twice on our last trip! I also like the fact that there is always plenty of indoor seating if the weather is too hot or rainy! The outdoor seating is wonderful on a nice day though!

Hate to break it to you, but I read on here that they got rid of the egg rolls. (no first hand knowledge)

I was all set to recommend a place when I realized I don't think I've ever actually eaten at AK. Odd. I think normally, we head there in the morning, get sick of the heat and the lack of shade, leave for the resort, and then eat something there. Good to know that Restaurantsaurus is AC'd.

We currently have Y&Y TS planned for our AK day, but I'm considering scrapping that for CS. Flame Tree BBQ is what I was specifically had planned. We'll be there 9/27-10/3, so it should be open then. We are also having breakfast at Tusker House.

Restaurantosaurus and Pizzafari aren't too bad

Is that the same as saying they aren't too good either. :lmao:

IMHO, they are ok for hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets and pizza; I just get tired of the same old.

With that said, I am so glad Flame Tree will still be open the first week of August when we are there.

I keep hearing about this Italian style sandwich....Can you describe whats on it and what makes it so good?
Thanks!

Ok how about this..I love flame tree and prefer to go there, but if it was closed I would go to either Restaurantosaurus or Pizzafari

There you go, that was good. :lmao::thumbsup2

I hope you didn't think I was being sarcastic, it was only an attempt to be humorous. Hopefully you didn't take it any other way. After looking back at it I can see how you may have. If you did, please accept my apology.
