Does anyone remember the resort board that used to talk about RESORTS? Because all I seem to be seeing are codes this and codes that and what rate did you get with this code, and when are they coming out.

Anyone else think we need a code board?

I'm with you. I tried to start a thread today asking questions about AKL since this will be our first time there. My thread moved to the 2nd page so fast it had tire marks on its forehead from all the code posts that ran over it.

I know, if you scroll down the page you see that nearly every post is about a code. There are so many duplicates too. I don't know, just a little annoyed. Especially when I read people that state things like 'Shame on you Disney' for not releasing codes--codes were never guaranteed nor deserved. In fact they were a perk and now they are expected by everyone. As much as I love the code rates, if Disney decided to disband doing that it would be fine by me, because the codes took over my favorite board and I'm sick of hearing about codes ALL the time!!! LOL

Add me to the list. I would much rather be discussing resorts and their ammenities instead of codes and rates. Codes and rates should be on the budget board. JMO

I think you have a great idea with the code board. I do appreciate hearing about the codes though this board, but it does get tiresome after a while.

Codes are a big part of Disney resorts--one that most of us have benefited from at one time or another. Right now the excitement about the codes coming out have made this a very busy board. I'm glad to see so many folks get the codes they were waiting for--even if they weren't as good as they were in the past.

I think Disney should have a discount all the time for AP holders like a percentage & do away with the whole "code game".

I know what you are saying but I've given it like a month, and I'm not the only one that sees it Has there ever been a discussion about moving code stuff to the Budget board? It definitely pertains more to that than the resort board to me, but JMO

I appreciate all of the code information but I really do get annoyed when people demand good AP rates.

There is no guarantees with an AP rate. I look at it as the ability to participate in a small scale fire sale. If GF and BC have big conventions then there will only be a small number of rooms if any available.

Oh no, this became another code thead LOL! As soon as today's frenzy dies down, it will be back to resorts.

I totally agree with Nikki!!!! I posted the same feeling about a month ago. I sure wish we could split this board into two... similar to what they did with the tech support board when they moved testing threads off. It would be sooooo much easier for code hungry people to find the info they are looking for if the forum was code talk only. Then we could get back to discussing resorts here!!!!

I'm sorry but I just don't agree with this. The code talk has been dominating this board for two or three months.... and now all the summer people want there codes... I've even seen posts about December codes ... it's never ending.

As a newcomer to the DIS, I was a little nervous about this board because there is SO much talk about codes. I don't know any thing about them and would prefer that they had their own board, as well.

Sure, you can skip them, but what about people who post wanting info about a resort and it gets buried back on page 3 because every five minutes someone posts a code question?

I love code talk as much as anyone... that's why I want it separate. So when I want to talk codes I can find them easily.
