We're going down (from SC

a night earlier. We were looking at St Augustine Hilton Garden Inn on the bay, or Hampton Inn on the beach. HGI is on the bay, you're right across from the water , you can see it and watch the boats...and can walk to EVERYTHING...restaurants, just walking all around the historic sites is really beautiful, and a good relaxing place to go before you hit the streets of Disney! Plus HGI not very old. There are tons of B&B, but most don't allow kids under X age

We'll prob choose HGI, because we love the old town so much

Hampton is on the beach (A1A) RIGHT on the beach. No walking across the street. Most at St Augustine are on the beach. But it IS mostly condos on the beach, and some older hotels, so Hampton would be my first choice for a beach hotel there. Haven't stayed there before but Hampton are usually nice and clean. Both were running about $109 a night for end of Nov. Which is GREAT compared to high season.
We've been to St Augustine a million times and never get tired of it!!! It's very family friendly and a beautiful place...and the kids can see a little history while there

But I would suggest a good vacation some other time to see it all. There is ALOT to do there. We've done it all and it's like new every time. We usually get a condo on the beach. It's a very wide, pretty beach. Lots of sand dollars, startfish, shells. Love it. Most of all it's NOT commercial, wild and crazy like Myrtle Beach can be!!
If you go to St Aug, go for dinner at Salt Water Cowboys!! It's AWESOME!!!!!!! I'm ready to go now!
