Flag retreat ??

Does anyone know how I could get my daughter to participate in the flag retreat ceremony. She was in the navy and I know it would mean sooo much to her...

I have heard that they generally recruit their helper for the day by picking out someone using a military ticket (these look quite different from a regular ticket and should be easy for someone to spot who is watching the turnstiles), particularly someone who is wearing a cap or tshirt indicating their military experience/affiliation.
