FL Resident tix

I have family visiting from NY this weekend in Orlando and of course, they want to go checkout HP. Can I purchase FL resident tix on US website, print tix at home, and send them off to the park without showing FL residency?

The website does say, 'must show proof of residency at gate', but do they really ask??? Especially now that the lines have been really long lately...

Florida Resident Tickets are FL resident tickets. So no. The website clearly mentions you need to prove residency and how.

a FL res with an AP can purchase up to 6 tickets at a discount for non FL res. heres what it says:

10% savings on 1-day and 15% savings on multi-day theme park tickets purchased at the front gate (up to 6 people)

Florida Resident tickets can only be purchaed and used by a florida resident. You can buy them online but when you go pick them up you cannot pick them up at a kiosk but have to go to a window and show 1 valid FL Res ID per ticket, except for kids.

The AP ticket deal, you have to also go to the window to show your AP to buy the tickets at the 10 or 15% discount.

Either case you will still need to go with them, we were there during opening week and when we picked up the FL Res tickets for my brother and his GF I had to give them 2 DL for proof, now once they got the tickets they were never asked again to show proof.

MJohnson96 - Thx for explaining everything in detail. The last I remembered (a few yrs back), all one needed to show was the tix purchase print out (goes to show you how out of the loop I have been)

No problem, we just got back from our week's vacation there and everyone but DH, me and our kids are in Florida. Every year it seems the rules change so I have to make sure I don't mess up. Hate to get to the park and them not let you pick up your tickets and then have to buy more.

I think you've confused yourself. You are quoting Passholder benefits for purchasing up to six tickets which can be used by anyone. We are talking about FL resident tickets...not Passholder tickets. Passholders are the only ones that can get a discount on additional tickets.

i realize that, the OP said he had family coming in from NY and i was saying he (she) should get an AP to get the discounts on tickets for them.
