I just called to book our (October 12-15) room at POP. I wasn't thrilled with the $99 per night, but I knew that it would probably be that much. I asked if there were any discounts available. She told me there aren't any right now, but she knew for a fact that the FL rates would be coming out soon, probably next month some time. Woo hoo!!!

I was told the same thing about the AP rates for those dates. :flower:

I'm holding out to wait and see what happens.

Oh that sounds promising. If they release codes for the last part of the year I can still hold out hope for first week in Feb. I really don't like the new AP program so my only hope would be FL resident codes or another package with dining would be even better ! :cool1:

Thanks for the great news Sandy! We have reservations at AKL for 11/4-11/7 and a Florida resident discount applied to that reservation would be *awesome*! Last year the discounts for this time frame didn't come out until the end of August, but I've heard a few different times now that they might be out earlier so I might check into it in July. :sunny:

Lets see, so that would be July. I HOPE so, as I have a ressie for July that I want to change to Nov. but don't want to pay and arm and a leg for it now (Over $500.00). Guess I will wait till a week before my original ressie to re-schedule it to Nov. :confused3

I need help!!

Seriously!!

I just started plotting out our Dining Ressies, and thought "Why am I not taking advantage of the FREE dining?? - because I booked a "room only rate, hoping for a FL Rate - my parents are coming, we have 2 rooms, its legit ...

But now I keep going back and forth with am I wrong thinking I'm getting a better deal with the room only?? aaaaaack too much to think about!!

As soon as July 1st gets here I will be checking MouseSavers.com everyday for the FL rate. I'll post as soon as I hear about it. Is that the best place to look for it? I don't want to call reservations everyday.

mamalle ~ I just noticed you live in Lake Worth. We lived there until 3 years, when we moved to Stuart.

Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong but Mousesavers is the first website I check when I'm looking for the codes to come out & they have never let me down before. I don't know how they do it but they get the info on the codes almost immediately. You'll have company because I check the website everyday & I'm not going till end of Jan !

We're going Oct 3rd-6th, so we just barely made it into the Free Dining time frame that they have out right now. I had already booked an AP rate room, and for the three nights, it cost us (2 adults/2 kids) $150 more for the dining package. So, in my mind, we're basically paying that amount for our food. We would have spent way more than that had we booked through the AP rate (which is almost always the same as the FL resident rate) and then bought our food.

Run the numbers on it and see what you think. It worked out better for us to do the dining plan because we had planned to do several table service restaraunts. If you're just planning counter service, it may not, but I used the menus at All Ears, and we definitely came out better with the package.
