FL resident MyMagic+ question!

Hi guys!

I'm a Florida resident so I was planning on booking room only and purchasing my park tickets separately (still from Disney) so I can get a FL resident discount on the tickets (its not offered if I book as a package. )

Will I be able to take advantage of reserving FP+ 60 days in advance and link these tickets to my room reservation and our Magic Bands? Sorry for the silly question and thank you for your feedback !!

Yes.

Last month I purchased our FL Res AP's online. I selected the "will call" option of ticket delivery. I used the confirmation number that I got at the end of the transaction to link our tickets in MDE. At that time, we were within the 60 days window of our trip, so I was then immediately able to schedule our FP+'s.

How does it work with proving you are a fl resident? With the old system I had to pick up my tickets at will call to show a valid ID. Obviously I can't pick FP times ahead of our dates if i still have to prove I'm fl resident at gate.. Or do they give you benefit of doubt and then you have to show ID for admission ?

They allow you to select your FP+'s before your AP is "activated". Once you have linked your AP in MDE, you can go ahead and select your FP+'s (once you are within your 60 days timeframe). Then when you arrive at Disney, you will still go pick up a plastic card which is your AP and at that time you prove your residency. That is when your AP is actually "activated" and will expire 1 year from that time. So pretty much the same process as always, but as you said, they give you the benefit of the doubt for scheduling FP+'s. YIPEE!!!!!
