Looking for verification. Did Disney change the blackout dates for FL Resident Disney Select passes? I bought my passes in February ahead of the rate hike; they expire Dec. 14. At the time of purchase, there was a blackout in place for most of the summer. I just saw a TV commercial for WDW that listed the 2016 blackout dates in the fine print as limited to just 4th of July week and two weeks at Christmas. I called WDW and the cast member said the blackout dates for summer were July 1-4 only.

Did I miss a big announcement (I did a quick but not thorough Google search that turned up nothing)? I know they did the same thing at spring break, and I guess that the call to WDW should serve as verification enough. But I think I'm looking for another source to verify before I get my son's hopes up that we can spend a few days at WDW this summer. Thanks in advance!

Online is still showing most of the summer blacked out.

Yeah just looked and most of Weekday Select is still blacked out. Are you sure it wasn't just the FL 3 day and 4 day tickets that they were talking about?

That's what it looks like.

Tickets and any options purchased must be used within 14 days of first use, except for Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets. Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets expire 6 months after first use or December 17, 2017, whichever comes first, and may not be used on the following blockout dates: July 1, 2016 to July 4, 2016; December 15, 2016 to December 31; 2016; January 1, 2017 to January 2, 2017; April 8, 2017 to April 21, 2017; June 5, 2017 to August 10, 2017.

The 3 and 4 day tickets had their summer blockouts lifted EXCEPT for July 1-4.

The Weekday Select and Silver annual passes are still blocked out June 6 - August 11. (Well, the Weekday Select is really already blocked out because it's the weekend and Monday's the 6th.)
