FL open during fireworks?

I read somewhere else that someone waited in line for PP and then watched fireworks over the carousel. In the past, FL was closed during fireworks. I am wondering if this has changed recently?

I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that Fantasyland now remains open during fireworks last time we were there (in March).

I did this a few years ago, I'm not sure if they are still doing it this way.

Fantasyland does close, but the keep the walkways open.

The Red lines are where they put the rope barriers

The purple line is where they had us line up for Peter Pan as soon they closed Fantasyland before the fireworks. This is where I stood to watch the fireworks.



As soon as the fire marshal cleared the area , those of us in the line were moved to Toads Garden queue line. Everyone else was kept out of Fantasyland. While we were in Toads Garden, the CM's restarted the rides.

As soon as Peter Pan was ready, we were walked from Toads garden to Peter Pan line.

As soon as we were in Peter Pans line, they removed the ropes and allowed everyone back into Fantsayland

This is going to change next Friday when Disneyland Forever returns.

Mickeys Mix Magic, the current show does not have castle fireworks. Disneyland Forever does. Which means FL closures for fireworks will return when the show returns.

I thought this also; however, the person showed a picture from March with fireworks over the castle as seen from the carousel.

Those are the toontown launches. I’m talking about the launches from the castle which MMM does not have.

Do you happen to remember if the path between Matterhorn and the Alice in Wonderland bathrooms close for Disneyland Forever? I recall them closing for some fireworks shows but not all.

Last firework show I saw it was open. They pretty much roped off starting at alice and storybook canals into the fantasyland hub area.
