I'm a wimp when it comes to rides. I admit it.

Those swing rides at the fair? Forget it. I'm white-knuckled the whole time & it takes everything I have for my body to not evacuate itself.

Has anyone been to Kings Island? I can handle the Beast, but that's about it. Outer Limits too.

EE was fine, but I didn't do R&RC, for lack of time. For some reason, I'm ok with indoor roller coasters. I was ok on ToT.

I'm freaked out thoroughly by FJ. Fear of the unknown, I guess. What are the cars like? Is it a roller coaster type? Or more like the Spider man thingy there at IoA?

DH is super excited about visiting & would be bummed if I didn't ride. I also don't wanna chicken out & miss out on something good.

Please help prepare me!

Youtube has a fairly good ride through video to give you an idea of what pops out at you. I'm not sure what the ride feels like though.

I could have written your post word for word. My young DD will ride more than I will (hangs head in shame).

I'm waiting for more ride reports from us chickens to start popping up (we aren't going until December). I really want to ride it.....but.....walking around IOA all day with wet knickers would not be fun for me, or anyone else LOL!:rolleyes1

Note to self: invest in Depends liners ;)

I watched the videos, I already felt that jittery butterflies in my stomach feeling. And that was on a screen that wasn't 4x6.

In my opinion, it is no scarier than Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom.

We missed out on Dinosaur :( It was HOT when we were at AK, and didn't want to do stand-by (60+ minutes). We were there last August, and the rest of our group was wiped out by 11a.

Does it go upside down a lot? Or at all?

I am a scaredy cat too, but a huge HP fan, so I knew I would ride it no matter what. That being said, I screamed most of the way through the ride, but as soon as I got off of it, I immediately got right back in line. It is amazing. You have to try it at least once. If there are any parts that scare you, just close your eyes and you lose all of the sensation. The ride vehicles are very smooth and comfortable; the motion didn't bother me at all. I was more scared of the dementors!

It doesn't go upside down at all, but there is a lot of motion (including putting you on your back), which is why it has over the shoulder restraints. If you want to know what you encounter and don't mind spoilers, click here for a blow by blow (I've been on it like 40 times). It also has a good pic. of the bench, and remember it is mounted on a robot arm with a full range of motion. If you don't want the spoilers, let's just say you'll have a lot of stuff very close up in your face.

It is more like Spiderman than anything else. However, the bench you ride is more like an inverted rollercoaster car where your feet dangle and there's nothing in front of you. Animatronics are in your face and pretty creepy. It's freakier than Haunted Mansion. The thrill ride simulation is very tame though.

Excellent article. And your description eases my jitters! Thanks! Now I'm just plain-ol excited!
