I have decided to give FJ a try and I plan to take Bonine an hour before. I have never taken motion sickness medicine before and I rarely take any medicine so when I do I have to take it with food. What would be my best choice for breakfast? Thanks!

I think a hearty breakfast of black pudding would be excellent.....;)

I think keeping it light would probably be a good idea. Make sure you take the bonine well enough before you ride so that it is able to get into your system.

I would take it the night before instead of an hour before. I don't think an hour would give it enough time to get through your system. I take it the night before and it helps give me a really good nights sleep. Then a light breakfast in the morning before I ride. :goodvibes

I took one Bonine the night before we went to IOA and then another in the morning before we went to the parks.

We ate at the Three Broomsticks and then waited about a half an hour and then rode. No issues at all.

I did ride it several times the afternoon before but I already had 2 pills in my system. It really does work well.

I take it the night before and morning of as well.

OP, perhaps you should give it a try before you go to the parks to see if taking it the night before and morning of would make you drowsy.

I would keep it light. Bagel or other bland food that you know won't upset your stomach. I take Bonine about a hour before and I am fine on the ride. If I feel a little queezy, I close my eyes for a minute, and that seems to help. I am a ride weenie, and absolutely have to take motion pills every time we visit. They don't make me sleepy, and I don't drink alcohol while using the pills, and hey really help with the sickness I get with motion. Did the Simpson's ride, the mummy, spiderman and coasters. I would not have done any without medicating first.

I thought FJ was as rough as indiana jones at DL, and up and down like the ToT, but not feeling like a yo-yo, more like a jerky back, forth, up, down.

I'm another who takes motion sickness pills the night before (the regular "will make you sleepy" type) and the non drowsy in the morning.

I agree with eating a light breakfast. A half serving of something bland at least 30 minutes before you ride.

What do you mean when you say you go up and down like TOT? I am a ride weenie as well. I won't go on anything that has even a tiny hill/drop such as Pirates. I do like motion simulators although I haven't been to Disney in 10 years.

No, it doesn't drop 13 stories ;)

The ride vehicle does have the ability to go up and down about 5-6 feet...the best way to know how it works is if you've been to Innoventions at Epcot recently, and seen the "Sum of All Thrills" display, it has basically the same kind of ride vehicle

I find that there is only one spot where I feel my stomach lurch in the least tiny bit like you may be dropping and that is after the whomping willow. Other than that I really don't feel any sensation of a drop. There is definitely a ton of movement but I can't really compare it to Indiana Jones at DL since that is more a bumpy ride and feels much more jerky to me (Indiana Jones is my favourite ride anywhere...btw).
