This morning I tried to upload my vaccination card for my upcoming cruise on the Safe Passage site and received an error message. I tried uploading it first in PDF then in JPG format from my desktop - errors on both. Was using Firefox so I tried on MS Edge. Still error messages. Called Safe Passage customer support (number on the Contact page of the website) - phone was answered quickly, explained issue and they created an IT ticket, saying it would take 24-48 hours for a response. I received an email from Tech Support within 10 minutes requesting a screenshot of the error message. (I had closed everything when they said it would take 24-48 hours for a response so I did it all again and was able to get the error screenshot.) Within another 10 minutes, I received a reply from Tech Support giving me the ability to attach a copy of my vax record so they could upload manually. Five minutes later I received my QR code for boarding.
FYI, while on the phone they said if this was not fixed, it would have been fine if I arrived with my physical card even without upload QR code. They also said it usually works better from a desktop or laptop than a phone.
Moral of the story: Safe Passage was VERY responsive
