Hi everyone,

We are currently booked on a 7night in an 8D for next year (Fantasy). Our previous cruise with our children we had two 9C (connecting) rooms on the Wonder, which we loved!

We were thinking of switching to two rooms on the next cruise, but when we checked during our recent Dream cruise the cost of going from one 8D to two inside rooms was almost $3000. WOW!

So, for now, we are going to stick with the five of us in an 8D.

Do you have a family/group of five that booked an 8D? If so, how did it work out for you?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Have a happy day!

We're a family of 4 and have always stayed in 2 connecting insides except for our most recent cruise. We had 1 4A on the Wonder. It actually wasn't that bad, just had to adjust shower schedules a but and I showered in the spa everyday (it was only 1 floor up). Surprisingly we had plenty of closet/storage space.

I still prefer 2 rooms but with the pricing the way it is now, we're probably going to have to book just 1 room from now on.

I did a 4A which I think is the same on the Magic last year. Three adults and two children (7 & 5). I, being the grandmother, was in the Murphy bed. It was tight but we were fine with it. Getting out to the veranda was tight but not too impossible. Murphy bed was fine.

Come to think of it I did do a 8d on the Dream. Three adults and a ten month old. Our thoughts were to have my DGS in a pack n play but had the steward take it away once we saw it in the room. Put him in the sofa bed with rails instead and everything was fine.

Thank you for your responses. I know we will all fit okay, I'm just hoping we survive all the togetherness - LOL!

You are making me feel better about our choice to stick with the 8D. $3k buys a whole lot of cocktails and excursions...and those lovely Palo meals too!

Have a happy week everyone!
