I dont really want to cover old ground with this trip report. However I will try and make it as enjoyable to read, as our stay was. We had a fantastic time and heres why.

HNY Seemed very quite, breakfeast at 7am (as they have just introduced time slots) was good. Hotel was clean and tidy and the staff always helpful. Whilst we were there they removed the MMPT theme from the shop to put up Christmas decorations. they are also building the ice rink, not that we heard much of the work being done.

Weather Hot!!!! Although Thursday and Friday morning was a little overcast. I even saw rain on Thursday (for about 30 seconds) it was still very nice. Tuesday was just too hot!!!!!

FOOD Every day just got better and better, Cafe Mickey was great (even though our son decided he didnt like the characters, he didnt like minnies party train either until Wednesday). ADC was just fabulous, and our daughter enjoyed meeting the Princessess.

Inventions was just out of this world, then Walts was top too. Even managed to watch the parade from Walts. Although I would love to know how everyone else eats the burger. It was very good. Waiter was so funny and service was excerlent.

Characters Not sure if it is just us that seem to "bump" into characters. Thursday night was so funny, as we were running late for inventions. As we stepped out of the lift to leave the hotel, with no one else around we walked straight into Mickey and Goofy. Our son ran upto Mickey and was hugged like an old friend, whilst daughter started playing with Goofy. It was so good.

Another time I was stood waiting for the tribe to return from a loo break, before waiting for a mickey meet and photo. I was stood next to the "post office" down the way from city hall. I hadnt noticed that Mickey had crept up behind me. The first thing I know is the CM with him called "Cook coo". I turned around to see Mickey about an inch away from my nose.

Every princess noticed my daughters landyard, with a pin badge for every princess. Jasmin at "Aladin and friends" took time to mention it, even thought it was abit of a scrum.

Kids will be Kids Two funny stories, one from each. Son on finishing his meal had left a chicken nought in the pot, when told it would be lonley unless eaten. He promptly picked up two chips and placed then in the box. Saying it wouldnt be lonely now. (We just looked at each other and laughed, what can you say to a four year old after that)

The second was in RDS when my daughter who was asking for someone to cut up her crapes, missed pronouced it, leaving the "es" off. So in fact said "can you cut my Crap(es)"

Rides In the park at 8am for the extra hours. Managed to ride Buzz more than enough times. Taz did Space Moutain, however we noticed a warning on HTOT that if you have suffed with a bad back it wasnt advisable to ride (shame). We all got on BTM and even though she said she was going to be sick half way round, daughter loved it.

Did have a little argument on "its a small world" when a small child who was with his family ment to be on the second seat, jumped over into the first. We all got into the front as we had been directed, only to be told only 4 people in the front row of seats. Young boys family were adamant that he was staying there. News flash, no he wasnt. After 5 minutes of looking puzzled. I firmly suggested they remove their child into the seat he was ment to be in. They gave in......he wasnt the best behaved kid either as he kept standing up during the ride (had he been with us we would have not been responsable for his actions)

I also had a rather large push on a woman, who thought it would be a good idea to put her son in the road infront of the parade to take a photo. She had walked down Main street and popped through a gap in the crowd to try and take the photo. However when the Cm told them to stay on the pavement, without looking see stepped backwards right into my Son. She got one hell of a shove from me!!!! back into the road. She didnt like it, but I was protecting my own.

Best Character Meet Has to be Woodys round up. Although they could do with sorting out a que system for the enterance. Great set up of the two rooms and "band stand" for meeting characters. We managed to get Pluto and Goofy in one room, then Mickey and Minnie in the next. Before meeting Woody on the "band stand" and then as we left Donald Duck (who stood on my daughters foot but gave her the biggest hug to say sorry).

Other Observations Smoking didnt phase us, we just put it down to noticing more as you dont see it in the UK. Scrums did happen, but we avoided them. there was one or two occassions where we meet characters with only a few people around them (sometimes even just one family with them). Europeans....dont que like the british do. One man stepped over the pushchair (had my son been in it he would have known about it, even though hes four he still packs a mighty punch and has a habbit of moving his hands and head very rapidly without warning). Would have loved him to be in the pushchair and just nut the guy in the groin. Explain that one!!! Had one little boy bounch off my leg as he was trying to push into a que at Woodys, he was lucky as my leg was alot softer than the wood at the turnstyle.

Trying my French It seemd everyone I tried my (very limited) French on was Irish. But I tried all the same. Did manage a small converstion with a gentleman in a shop. It kinda broke down a little when he told me how much to pay in French. I was saved by the digital display on the till.

Overall a great time was had by all. I even told the two little ones if you stay to long you slowly turn a little Mickey... it starts with ears or hands. On the last day we saw someone dressed as Minnie and my daughter asked me how long she would have to stay to nearly turn into Minnie mouse......

Cant wait for our next trip (also starting to look at WDW)

Glad you had a great time, I'm assuming the Aladdin meet and greet isnt organised like the other ones in the park?

Welcome back! :goodvibes The Aladdin meet and greet wasn't an organised meet when we went in August, not sure if it is now?:confused3

Welcome back! :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a great trip!! Loved the stories about your kids - LOL!! :rotfl2:

Welcome back! :goodvibes The Aladdin meet and greet wasn't an organised meet when we went in August, not sure if it is now?:confused3

It is on the programme as an organised meet outside Cafe Argrabar, however Jasmin turned up out of no where so I asume that was the "aladin and friends"

It looked like a scrum when we left, however we managed to get to Jasmin first. It takes place a couple of times a day.

They also had character meets on the walkway between the AP sales centre and IASW. They seemed to be characters and one CM. No queing....

Hope that helps

Pete
