Up at 6:30 am for EEat MK. Take the bus from the Dolphin. Get there just as the PA is doing its schpiel. Go directly to SM. Great ride, but like the track to the left much better. Then go to buzz. Woop the pants off DH. On to Pooh and now the park is opening so off to Splash Mountain for FP and ride BTMR. After BTMR we have time so we go on POC. We then got a FP for Peter Pan and rode Splash Mountain then Peter Pan. It was now 11am and we took the monorail to Epcot and rode Space (all I can say is wow) twice and then went to Chefs De France (in the POURS of rain) for a wonderful lunch. We had the French lunch delicious onion soup (the best I've ever had) with a wonderful ham, cheese and tomato grilled french bread sandwich w/greens and for dessert creme brulee! Tres bien! Accompanied with two glasses of house cabernet and off to the Dolphin for a nap we go!
Two hours later we awake to news broadcasts that the NY-NJ-Conn. Canadian area is in a major blackout and our kids are home with their grandparents. We call home, tell them where emergency lights, candles batteries and radio are. DH says we can't just stay here and worry, so off we go (guiltily I may add ) t0 MGM and the great Movie ride and then a hot dog, beer and fantasmic and explanations to alot of people in the crowd about the blackout.
After seeing my mouse (and checking in with kids hourly) we go to PI to Comedy Warehouse.
We return to Dolphin to a message that there was an undeliverable delivery from room services. We call up and they sent a complimentary tray of strawberries, chocolate and toppings for our anniversary (our purchase of champagne at Goodings went well with this) and by midnight we heard most of our home areas had been restored with power. Another great day alone in the world!
