Five Day Reservations over the holiday ONLY?

I'm taking my son down for the week of his birthday 1/5/07, which always fall during the holiday season. It's good because it's when he's off from school but WOW, the rates!

Well, we're renting a villa for the week so I decided to add a few days onsite Universal for Express access. I was told that they're not accepting any reservations for less than 5 days!

She said it was for the Royal Pacific AND the Hard Rock. I didn't even ask about the Portofino, I was in shock....

I tried the other travel sites, like Yahoo and Hotels.com... same thing.

She told me to try a little closer to the date. I'm sure they will find enough people who told them "fuGETaboutIT" to squeeze me in for two days! I hope!

Those of you who had reservations before this stupid rule, GOOD FOR YOU!

Rates normally drop 1/2 or 1/3 and the 5 day thing is bull winkle. I bet it'll change.

We had no problem getting reservations for 3 nights for the nights of December 27-29. I can't imagine why they would do something different now! It's hard enough for us to stay 3 nights at those prices let alone stay for 5 nights! I feel for you! Let me know if you would like to go through the on-line travel agent we used. Very reliable-several friends have used her in the past with no problems. She's a go-getter and will fight for what you want!

I didn't try to book it, but the UO website will let you price out less than 5 days. I wonder if you were misinformed. I hope that's what it is, & you're able to get the nights you want.
