My Parents will be staying with my wife and DS at BVC next week. Since this will be our first use of the DVC since joining last year I'm not sure how the use of the fitness centers is handled. I know as a DVC member that I have use of the centers without charge, do this also extend to guests who are staying with us? I think my dad would like the chance to exercise with me in the morning. A second question is how early in the morning do the Fitness Center's usually open? Thank you.

All of your guests will get a room key that says "DVC Member" on it, so yes, they can all use the exercise room. Thought honestly, I've never had anyone stop me or ask me to show anything when using an exercise room at Disney.

In June, OKW exercise room opened at 6:30 a.m.

I don't know about you, but my family just rolls their eyes as I head to the gym or pool first thing every A.M. at WDW -- "isn't the walking enough?" But last trip, I ate whatever I wanted (and I mean whatever, including at least one dessert per day!) and lost 1/2 pound, so glad to see others have the same dedication!

At BWV, I have always needed my room key when I go to the fitness center. You sign in and the CM at the desk takes your card while you work out. You retrieve it when you leave. In fact, the CM at the desk writes a code on the back of the card the first time I use it during a stay. I assume they are checking that I'm staying at BWV on points. I also assume they check the card for "DVC Member" since there is a charge for non-members staying at BWV and for BWI guests using the center.
