Does anyone know any deals out there for the fitbit flex or force? The best I have found is on the heartratemonitorsusa site where you can get the flex for $95. I have found any deals out there. Do they ever discount?

I think they are pretty much the same price everywhere. If you have a Target card, you could get one for 5% off there.

They pretty much are the same price all over. Maybe try sports authority or Dicks. They often have 20% sales

Brookstone sells them and Groupon frequently features Brookstone deals....$25 for $50 of merchandise, etc.

We bought hrs on sale for $79 and it broke 4 days later. After reading reviews it's quite common for them to break:scared:

Fitbit has AMAZING support and will replace it for free. Just call them.

I've had my fitbit for 2 years and used it every single day with zero issues and love it.

But, I'm using the old "Ultra" model that I put in my pocket. I'm not interested in the wear on your wrist types and all the complaints I hear about them is a big part of the reason.

I bought my fitbit flex from Amazon, but as an open box. When it shows you an item, click on the other items available button and you will see some other options. Mine was $85, box was opened, but everything was included. I have prime so shipping was free :)

We went to buy a Force this past Saturday. First stop, Target for the 5% off. They had them in stock. DH wanted to know if it did heart rate. No one knew. We left there and went to Dick's. We asked for one and wanted to know if it did the heart rate. We were then told that the Force was recalled. They were overheating and burning people's arms. The guy there said they don't keep track of heart rate anyway so it wasn't something we wanted. We ended up ordering a New Balance LifeTRNr from REI for $69.93 with free shipping.

Untrue. They have not been recalled. The company has offered full refunds for anyone who wants one because some people have reported skin irritation from the band, not because they overheat and burn people. You should always check yourself and not take the word of an uninformed salesperson.

I didn't say I looked it up. I said the salesperson said that's why they didn't have them for sale at Dick's.

They have them on Walgreens.com for $99 but this week you can get 20% off all regularly priced items with the code shop20. Add ebates and you get some cash back too (I think 4% but I could be wrong).

I bought my husband the Force for V-Day from Brookstone. Since the prices were the same everywhere I looked, I used Ebates to get cash back.

I want the Force as well but everyone is out of the smaller size. And it would be nice to be able to choose a color other than slate and black. :)

Awesome, Thanks. I just ordered.

The force HAS BEEN RECALLED

FROM USA TODAY:

Wearable tech maker Fitbit says it's issuing a voluntary recall of its Force wristband after some users reported issues with skin irritation.

In a letter posted on Fitbit's website, CEO and co-founder James Park says the company will no longer sell the Force and plans to issue full refunds. Fitbit has set up a page for users who want to return their wristband.

"While only 1.7% of Force users have reported any type of skin irritation, we care about every one of our customers," says Park. "On behalf of the entire Fitbit team, I want to apologize to anyone affected."

Park says the company conducted an investigation using independent labs and medical experts after complaints surfaced last month that the band was irritating some users' skin. Based on the findings, users are likely experiencing allergic contact dermatitis.

"Some users may be reacting to the nickel present in the surgical grade stainless steel used in the device," says Park. "Other users are likely experiencing an allergic reaction to the materials used in the strap or the adhesives used to assemble the product."

The recently launched Fitbit Force is a wristband that lets you track activity and sleep and allows you to sync your results and review them through your computer or smartphone.

Fitbit has served as one of the pioneers in the increasingly popular wearable computing market, along with other products such as Nike and its FuelBand and the Pebble smartwatch.
