I did a fitbit steps challenge with a group of my friends and so I spent a lot of the past few days running/jogging
On Wednesday I walked for a total of 90 minutes (40 of that on a treadmill and 50 of that on an indoor trail later in the day). I got 20,308 steps for the day.
On Thursday I spent 60 minutes walking and got 15,449 steps for the day
Friday 180 minutes walking and jogging as well as 20 minutes doing strength training (arms and shoulders) and I got 26,088 steps (my new personal best)!
Today I took it easier and didn't do much. I did get 10,483 steps in so far but that was mostly from helping tear down after my kids' chess tournament today.
So, I have surpassed my goal! I have learned that I can be pretty competitive- both against myself (I like to break my own records) and against others and this week definitely has shown me how I can use that to my advantage health-wise.
