Fishing?

Are there any inexpensive fishing to be done in or near disney? My 5 year old really wants to try fishing.

There is can pole fishing at Port Orleans Riverside. Strictly catch and release in a stick river. It cost $4.26 a half hour or $13.32 a half hour for up to 6 people. I found it on this website. I have never done it but it caught my eye because we want to stay here and my boys love fishing!

Port Orleans has already been mentioned...the Disney Fishing Trips are very good for folks, but a little expensive...However, the guides have been Excellent with kids I think you can cane pole fish at Fort Wilderness too, but I might be wrong about that.

I'd recommend starting with the cane pole fishing at Port Orleans Riverside...I usually wet a line there on some downtime, and caught a NICE bluegill out of there!!! That way when/if he gets bored you can go do other stuff!!

---my wife forbids me to bring the bass boat on vacation, even though there's world class bass lakes nearby...LOL
