My DS 3 loves to fish. I have read that he can fish at Hourglass Lake (shoreline.)

I understand he will need fishing equipment. Will he (or any adults assisting him or fishing) need a Florida Fishing License?

Are there any other fees I am missing?

Can he use a lifejacket from the resort by the lake (just in case.)

thanks.

I am not sure about fishing on the shore line but my kids fished at POR when we stayed there last year and DH did a fishing excursion. They loved it. Also I believe there are places to fish at Fort Wilderness. I am not sure where you are staying but there are several different places the fishing excursion leaves from and I believe there are a few kids only fishing trips.

I can find info about excursions. They sound like fun, but very expensive.
And my son will be plenty happy with fishing from the shore at Hourglass lake.

(We are staying at Pop Century.)

I know its is allowed. . . But beyond that
Has anyone fished there?
Do we need a Florida Fishing License?
Can the life jackets go over by the lake?

Thanks
