Fishing related question??

My Husband and I have fished a couple of times at the lake /pool in Port Orleans Riverside and managed to catch a few fish.

Last time we went we are sure we hooked a larger fish. The rods that give you aren't very good and the fish managed to straighten the hook, suggesting there are bigger fish that those we have pulled out.

Anyone else fished here before and seen anything? Also curious as to whether you are allowed to fish on the banks of the waterways around OKW??

My DH is a serial fisher wherever we holiday! He brings a telescopic rod from home and he has fished at POP, POR and CSR as well as booking some sea fishing trips.

From memory (and he's not in to ask at the mo) I think he caught wide mouth bass at POR and smaller stuff too. He has also managed to catch a turtle and a small alligator at Pop

I checked with Hubby, he caught crappie, bluegill and largemouth bass at POR (I was close with wide mouth haha!)

We did a fishing trip at OKW and we both caught bass. Fished the little pond in POR and caught a few although the guys working there were amazed we caught anything.

We are sure there is Catfish in there! lol

If you're really into the fishing AND you have a big enough group to share the cost, the excursions are awesome.
Not only do you catch a bunch o' fish, the morning trips include some really great "behind the scenes" views. We launched from the boardwalk and went into Epcot as well.

Was one of the most-cherished memories of that trip!
