Fishing on Hilton Head Island

My family has a trip planned for HHI in June. We have been many times and enjoy fishing from the Disney fishing pier. This year we want to branch out and are looking for some spots away from the Disney resort. Does anyone have any information about some good places to fish? Also, has anyone ever taken their fishing gear to Daufuskie Island and found some good fishing spots there? Any information would be appreciated!

My son always had luck near the Live Oak Lodge and at the end of the property.

There are several boat rentals and fishing charters located across the marina from Disney in Shelter Cove. I would take a walk over there and speak to some of the people in the marina store.

Yes, we have done LOTS of those, and my family isn't interested anymore. They just want some good fishing spots around the island.

I dropped my son in law who has to fish everywhere at a public spot that he found on the island on one of our many trips. It's been a couple of years and neither he nor I can remember the name/address. It had a small area where you could launch a smaller boat as well as a very small fishing pier/dock. Wish I could remember more! Anyway I found this map of the island's community parks with all their amenities listed. Maybe it will help you.
