I just got a Fisher-Price catalog in the mail. (I don't know why - the last time I ordered from them was a replacement part 19 years ago!)

Anyway, they have the cutest Little People set - it's an 11 piece nativity set. It's $30 & says it's a catalog exclusive. The stable even plays "Away in a Manger."

It is soooo adorable - but unfortunately, I don't have anyone to buy it for. :( I can't wait for grandchildren!!! ;)

They also have Holiday Mickey & Holiday Minnie. With batteries they each say 2 phrases & play 8 holiday melodies. $10 each or $17 for the pair; also catalog exclusive.

Just thought I'd share.

It must be a mass mailing. We received a catalog a few weeks ago and did order the nativity set you mentioned, along with a Christmas train.

We just received a new catalog this week, but I think I've done enough damage.

It will be nice for my DD to have a nativity she can actually play with!

That's what I thought! When DS was young he loved to play with my nativity. Fortunately it's wood - a hand-carved set, done on the West Bank I think. I wasn't worried about him playing with it & he never hurt it. With DD - absolutely EVERYthing went into her mouth! A couple pieces got a little "damp" & have slight water stains - but they just add to the memories. ;) These are so much more appealing, though!

The # on the catalog is 1-800-747-8697.

I got that catalog too! So many cute things it's hard to decide! I bought my granddaughter a "playable" Nativity Scene and she loves it. Sometimes she uses my husband's Franklin Mint miniature corvette's to take Jesus a ride.

Piratesmate, hope you have grandchildren someday. They are fun but I want to buy everthing for mine - thank goodness there is still only one!

FYI, you can go to Fisher-Price.com and order from the online catalog as well. I just went on to purchase my nativity (I don't have any little ones either, but I want it for myself), and I also got the Noah's ark to give as a gift.

Me too . . . . just not too soon. ;) DS isn't getting married until June. His fiance still has another semester to finish.

Re: going on-line to order . . . . I looked briefly before posting, but didn't see it. I'm glad you can order that way, too! I had gone directly to the Little People page.

Are we still playing "Stump the Masters?" Oh well, I guess that wasn't really Disney related anyway....

I love that Nativity!! I was going to suggest it to my Mom to get it for my kids, she's always looking for ideas, and that's right up her alley.:D

bwahahahaha! Thanks for my biggest laugh of the day. How cute.

Thanks for the tip, piratesmate. My little one still likes Fisher Price, I'll have to check it out.

I saw this last year but it was sold out when I went to order it. I was on amazon.com yesterday and I saw this for 19.99 so I ordered it. I was surprised becasue I thought it was exclusive to Fisher Price (I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same thing, it's a manger with the little people and animals). My daughter loves Little People and this set is adorable. If you go to amazon it's under Little People Christmas.

Edited to add:
I just went back to amazon to compare the set there to the set at fisher price and they are slightly different. here is a copy of a review:
Collectors: Don't Be Mislead!, October 21, 2002
Reviewer:I just got off the phone with Fisher Price Customer Relations and want to make sure that anyone looking at this set DOES NOT confuse it with the "Catalog Exclusive" set offered on Fisher Price's website. The set offered here DOES NOT include lights, music, or extra pieces (straw for the animals, fence etc.). The "Catalog Exclusive" ...comes in a collector box. This set does not. The customer service representative told me that the nativity offered here... is modeled after the 2001 set they sold but is without the 'bells and whistles' of the 2002 model. This is a fantastic toy but just make sure you are buying the set you really want. If you don't need the "Away in the Manger" music box or the lights and extra props this will do just fine...

Just a heads up to all those ordering the Nativity from Fisher Price. Be aware that the set in the catalog that lights up and plays music IS NOT the same as the one on Amazon.com. That one does not have music and lights and is priced lower because of it.

We love the FP catalog and my DD spends ages going throught that one and the Disney catalog (of course!) and telling me what she likes. She is only 2 1/2! I gues they learn early! :p
