Fish in Aquarium at Coral Reef

Is there a list anywhere of the fish that can be seen in the aquarium at the Coral Reef restaurant?

We are dining there in September for the first time, and I would like to make a I Spy worksheet for my sons to help keep them entertained during the meal.

well, for what it's worth, it's the same aquarium that's visible in the seas. you can probably keep it more simple with sharks, rays, turtles.. all that..

actually, we were given a fish guide at the restaurant, but i don't have it on me nor did i take photos of it.

Yes, there was a paper guide that you could tick off what you saw in the tank, was it the kids placemat? or something separate - I can't remember but my DD had a great time checking the fish she saw swimming by

They give you a guide to the fish in the aquarium when you get to the restaurant. My kids did exactly what you are planning...when they saw one of the fish they colored it in on the guide. It kept them occupied while they waited for their meal.

They do give you a guide when you sit down for your meal. I was just there last week, and I am pretty sure I took the guide home with me. If I find it in my (still not unpacked) luggage, I can PM you a list of the fish and maybe you can get pics from the internet or something so you can make your son's I Spy list beforehand if you want him to be able to see it in advance. It's up to you though... I don't know if you feel like doing all that work if they're going to give yout the sheet when you get there. I'll re-post here if I end up finding the fish guide.

Since we're talking fish you can see from the Coral Reef, who can tell me more about the sea turtles? Are there several, how big? Do they swim by often?

I've been to Coral Reef three times in the past three years, but have only seen one turtle. But boy was he huge...probably 3 feet in diameter! He swam for a while, then went to sleep on the bottom right on the other side of the glass from one of the tables. It would have been really cool to have been sitting at that table!

We asked to see the dining room on a trip in March - and I think I saw that same guy sleeping on the bottom at the far left. It kind of looked like a rock from the distance.
