Fish Extenders for the Podcast Cruise

You guys really seemed to enjoy the ladies room...it was a little frightening when you guys would plead to go to the ladies room every time we passed one...

Well they have those cool quarter machines and they smell so purty!!

Well in the turmoil of the giveaway...I would like to post something kinda bright and cheerful. Any criticism (other than the color scheme) will be welcomed! {This is just a paper mock-up. The real one will be fabric and be decorated.}

Since I am not a seamstress nor a tailor, I am trying to look for alternative methods of attachment. The colored edges are meant to represent some sort of edge finisher...I know fabric can run at times. FrayStop works alright on my kilt, but I don't know about the FE.

That looks really great, looks just like the one I am making - you should use fusible interfacing (iron on) to the pockets so they will be stiffer. The interfacing will have a shiny side - that is the side that gets ironed onto the "wrong" side of the pocket material. I also used double sided bias tape and used that along all edges of the pockets and perimeter of the actual FE to make it "finished".

I'm thinking I can put one together with a paperclip, pine cones, some duct tape and ball point pen....or was that how to make a bomb? I forget!

This is excellent advice that I wish I'd followed. I followed the directions over on the fe thread and now that I'm almost done, I feel like the pockets are too small.:headache: I am not crafty so I don't think I'll go through the headache of making a new one. BTW my pockets are 5 1/2 inches deep.

Here is my almost finished extender.

That is simply adorable!!!! I have a question for you. I know the FE shouldn't be wider than 8". How wide did you make the rod that it hangs from?

Thank you. :)

Thanks. I made the rod 8 inches wide. :thumbsup2 Like I said I wish I would have thought about it more. My antenna balls make it wider than 8". :headache: Oh well, c'est la vie.

Kilt? Queen PITA Dude wears a kilt? Is it true what they say is worn under a kilt? :rolleyes1

And wear a kilt.

Proud descendant of Clan Douglas. Real MEN wear kilts. ::yes:: And its a matter of choice to go regimental. Some of us find it a tad freer and more comfortable.
Just a word of caution: Never go regimental and do something where you might fall down and wind up head over heals. Its not family friendly.:scared1: But then again, if you are looking to start a family:bride::groom:...I did get some offers.:thumbsup2

WOW Alicia- it looks fabulous!!! that is one of the best ones yet that I have seen. I am so envious of your FE talent!!!! :thumbsup2

Todd- your model is great too.

I am thinking we need to do just 2 long pockets. We have 2 rooms with only 2 people in each one, so no need for extra pockets anyhow.

Brandie- good luck on the home study!

<---partying on deck 6!!!

Oh my goodness... that is SOOOOOO cute!!

I sew and do crafts but I have absolutely NO ... what's the word I am thinking of?? I have no oomph. I made 4 Halloween costumes in October and I dread dragging out the sewing machine again.

Does anyone have the FE list in Excel?

Now that the Holidays are FINALLY over, I am ready to become an obsessive cruise planner. :goodvibes

yeah, instead of duplicating efforts, if anyone has done a nice spreadsheet or something- it would be nice to share it with everyone on the list. And is anyone making (or has made) a map of the boat with all the rooms marked/highlighted too? I know someone will or has and it'd be nice to share. If I have time, I don't mind starting on it this month. :wizard:

I have a spreadsheet but it is in the mac program Numbers. I am not sure if it will work in Excel.

I was thinking of making something in Excel, but hadn't started it quite yet.

I did however print out deck plans from the Dreams site, to help me find stuff on the ship. They are rather large (36" long, ~16" wide) but you don't need a magnifying glass to read it either. My original got recycled over the holidays, so I am going to print up a new set this week.

ETA: I'm writing stuff in pencil until Feb. 24th, when final payments are due. I hope to not move again before then, but.........

I would be more than happy to put the list in Excel. I have a love for Excel that I cannot explain. :lovestruc

I did an Excel spreadsheet for myself, but I accidently used the wrong list. I will happily share(when I fix it), but are we setting a date for the last day to join? Might as well wait until then.

Alicia, that FE is awesome.
